Pentagon admits, white washes Koran charges

Pentagon spokesman has admitted several claims of Koran abuse within the military establishment, but assures a nervous nation that it all fell within the established procedures. Of course I want those that would harm the nation detained, my concern lies in the fact that many people around the world believe that the White House strong armed Newsweek into retracting a politically damaging story. It is not necessary to side with the enemy to realize the damage this does to American credibility because now all those people that assumed the worst feel validated. This administration has earned the distrust it engenders. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it.
